Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join our dynamic fintech company. As a Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in facilitating Agile practices, ceremonies, and ensuring the successful delivery of our software development projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including, product managers, technology professionals, and business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, foster a culture of transparency, and optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our Agile processes.
Responsibilities:
- Agile Facilitation: Act as a servant-leader and Agile advocate, guiding multiple development teams through the Agile framework, promoting self-organization, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Scrum Process Management: Coach and mentor development teams, product managers, and stakeholders on Scrum principles, ensuring adherence to Agile values, ceremonies, and practices.
- Project Planning: Collaborate with product owners, portfolio and project managers, and development teams to create and maintain the product backlog, facilitate sprint planning, and assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Sprint Execution: Lead and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies, ensuring that teams are effectively tracking progress, addressing obstacles, and delivering high-quality increments.
- Team Empowerment: Identify and address any impediments or conflicts that may affect team productivity or the overall project success. Enable the team to self-organize and make informed decisions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication channels, managing expectations, and providing project status updates. Facilitate collaboration and transparency across teams and departments.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team velocity, sprint progress, and overall project health. Provide regular reports and insights to management and stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Agile teams and the organization as a whole. Identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and promote Agile mindset and principles.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Scrum Master in a software development environment, preferably within the fintech or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles, frameworks, and practices, particularly Scrum.
- Certification as a Scrum Master (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM)) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a focus on fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps Boards) and proficiency in Agile metrics and reporting.
- Knowledge of SAFe processes and methodologies is considered a strong asset
- Knowledge of fintech industry trends and regulatory compliance is a plus.
- A passion for continuous learning and keeping up to date with the latest Agile methodologies and practices.
